In the improbable event that you don't like any of your headshots from your headshot session for reasons in our control (lighting, posing, etc.), there are two possible options. To be eligible for either of these options, you must indicate your concerns promptly at the end of the photo shoot. We offer to show our clients their headshot images multiple times during the photo shoot. Please make our photographer aware of your concerns right away so we have the opportunity to make adjustments.

At the sole discretion of the photographer, we may book a reshoot appointment, and you can give your headshots another try on another day at no additional cost. The second option is to use our 100% money-back guarantee for the headshot session. If you do not wish to try it again, we will refund your headshot session fee. No images will be delivered.

The client is responsible for bringing the wardrobe they wish to wear and the hairstyle and makeup application they prefer for their headshots. The studio is not responsible for reshoots because clients are unhappy with their choices in clothing/makeup/hair. Reshoots are at the photographer's discretion for reasons under our control.
Suppose you have already chosen favorites, and the retouching process has begun. In that case, this confirms that you are satisfied and that the session is complete. You are welcome to book additional sessions at the standard headshot rates if you wish to have a more extensive selection of images or if you wish to try out different wardrobe choices, hairstyles, etc.

Our retouching services have a satisfaction guarantee. This means that we are happy to make changes to your retouched images until you are satisfied with the level of retouching work, including:

• Stray hair removal
• Removal of blemishes 
• Reducing shine on the face
• Reduce under-eye bags
• Reducing wrinkles
• Whitening teeth
• Whitening eyes
• Reduction of glare in glasses
• Image cropping
• Exposure and color correction

Every person prefers a different level of retouching. We will work on retouching your images until they are retouched to the level that meets your satisfaction. Please see our Retouching Services for a complete list of inclusions and exclusions.  

We do everything in our power to ensure you love your headshots! 

We understand that situations arise, and you may need to postpone or cancel your appointment. Should you need to change your photo shoot date, please let us know as soon as possible. There is no penalty to reschedule your photo shoot. If you want to cancel your photo shoot entirely, please allow at least 24 hours notice for a full refund of your headshot session fee, less a $50 admin fee. There are no refunds for missed appointments or cancellations less than 24 hours before your session.

Please try to be punctual, as we often have other clients booked on the same day. If you are late, it will cut into your session time. There are no refunds for missed appointments.

RAW files are unfinished images, and we do not supply these to our clients. Suppose you choose to purchase the downloadable Online Proof Gallery. In that case, proof images are web-resolution (2048ox) and are suitable for social media. Retouched images are high-resolution (5000px+) and delivered as high-quality JPG images ideal for websites, social media, print material, business cards, billboards, buses, etc. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Hair and makeup are not included in your session fee. We ask you to come to your session looking your best with your hair and makeup done beforehand. In the retouching process, we remove imperfections such as blemishes, stray hairs, and bags under your eyes. You’re welcome to bring your makeup to apply quick touch-ups.

Please note that the studio is not responsible for your hairstyle and makeup choices. If you come to your session with hairstyle and makeup, you do not like. You are welcome to book a second session at the standard headshot session rates for another opportunity to try a different look.

Yes! Retouching is the final polish that makes great headshots look amazing! Even if you wake up looking your absolute best the day of your photo shoot, professional retouching will create that final polished look you're after. Some photographers choose to take retouching too far. You've likely seen images like this. The person looks like they have no pores, their pupils are glowing, and every line on their face has miraculously vanished. Imagine the shock when they show up for their job interview! You can trust Swartz Portraits to capture you in your best light and provide professional retouching that looks just right!

Our studio delivers the digital headshot images you purchase as high-quality JPG files in a private, password-protected online gallery. You can easily access this gallery from any device and download your files as many times as you need. USB drives and CDs are easily lost or damaged. They’re also no longer compatible with many devices these days. Your gallery will remain available for one year from your photo shoot date. Please download and back up any images you wish to keep during that year and store them safely.

Swartz Portraits maintains copyright ownership of every image we take. When you purchase headshots at our studio, you have permission to use them personally or professionally, both in print and online, to promote yourself and your business. Other uses may require a commercial contract and an additional licensing fee. Most headshot clients do not require a commercial contract. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us for details.

Yes, our standard headshot contract is used for all of our headshot clients. 

Get a good night’s rest the night before your shoot. We also recommend drinking plenty of water, which will hydrate your skin and help you feel and look your best!

Yes! Our studio offers a Shared Headshot Session upgrade! When you book a Standard Headshot Session ($100), you can bring a friend to have their headshots done simultaneously for only $50! We’ll add an extra 30 minutes to your appointment. Your headshot proofs will be delivered together in a shared online gallery for easy viewing to choose your favorites to purchase. You can also bundle your retouched headshot purchases! For example, if you and your friend would like 10 retouched images, you can enjoy the reduced rate instead of purchasing 5 each.
