Class of 2028 · Spring 2027 Sessions Now Open

Juniors, this is your window.

More families photograph their senior in the spring of junior year than at any other time, and for good reason. The light is softer, the calendar is quieter, bluebonnets bloom in March and April, and the portraits are finished long before senior year gets loud. Apply by December for a bluebonnet date and by January for any spring session.

Class of 2027: a limited number of fall and winter dates remain. Apply and we will find yours.

The Difference

A photograph is taken. A portrait is made.

A Photograph Taken

Thirty minutes, one backdrop

A volume session moves your senior through a line. A few frames, a generic background, a folder of files. It documents a year. It rarely says anything about who your senior actually is.

A Portrait Made

An experience built around one senior

A consultation that listens first. Real locations and styling chosen for your senior. Up to five unhurried hours. Then a private reveal, heirlooms made to hang in your home for the next forty years, and every file you need to share them.

The Experience

Built around your senior, start to finish.

It begins with a free in-home consultation where we listen to who your senior is becoming. From there the session is designed: real locations, styling, and pacing chosen for your senior, with up to five hours and unlimited outfit changes so nothing feels rushed.

It ends the way it should, with a private reveal in your home, museum-quality heirlooms handcrafted by GraphiStudio in Italy, and the high-resolution files of every portrait in your collection, plus your complete edited gallery as social-ready files. Wall portraits become part of the family record. The files travel everywhere else.

How It Works

Five steps, from first call to framed.

No guesswork. You will know exactly what happens at every stage before you ever apply.

Apply

Tell us about your senior. Sessions are limited to 100 a year and reviewed in the order received.

In-Home Consultation

A complimentary planning conversation in your living room, Monday through Friday at 6:00 or 8:00 pm. Vision, wardrobe, a location strategy built for your senior, and a look at the exact walls the portraits will hang on.

The Session

Up to five unhurried hours across multiple locations on a Saturday or Sunday, with unlimited outfit changes. Parents and best friends are welcome. Photographed by a Master Photographer.

The Reveal

Eighty or more finished portraits presented in person in your home, seven to ten days later. You choose your collection, sized for your rooms. The moment families remember most.

Heirlooms and Files

Museum-quality wall portraits and albums handcrafted by GraphiStudio in Italy, hand-delivered to your door, with the high-resolution files of every portrait in your collection and your full edited gallery as social-ready files.

For Seniors

This one is yours.

You choose the locations. You bring as many outfits as you want. Your playlist runs in the car between stops. Your best friend is welcome, and so are the guitar, the cleats, the horse, the truck, and the dog. Five hours to make portraits that look like you and not like a yearbook.

You receive every portrait in your family's collection as a high-resolution file, and your whole edited gallery of eighty or more images as social-ready files for your feed and your graduation announcements.

The studio comes to you.

For years I ran a traditional studio. When I brought Swartz Portraits to Texas I changed how it works, on purpose. Ninety-five percent of my families ask for location sessions, so the sessions happen where your senior's life happens.

The consultation and the reveal happen in your home, and that is not a compromise. It is the point. I see your walls, your light, the space above the fireplace and the hallway you pass every morning, and I size and design each portrait for the exact place it will hang. Then I deliver it there myself. That is a level of service a studio visit cannot offer.

Mr. Swartz has a gift working with people. He helped each senior look their best; he knew how to pose each student to highlight their instrument and personality. He is wonderful to work with.

My daughter's senior portraits are better than anything I could have hoped for. Ty is a Master Photographer; low pressure, easy to work with, professional, and talented. The best decision I ever made.

Mr. Swartz was extremely professional, funny, and kind. He captured my daughter's vision in every setting. When we viewed the final results, I had to grab tissues; I was absolutely stunned. His abilities and final product are top tier.

Senior Ambassadors

Ten seniors. Five sessions. One year.

Ten Houston metro seniors from the Class of 2027 and 2028 are selected each year for five themed group sessions, video shorts, paid opportunities, and a 24x24 heirloom at the year-end party. Selection happens at the consultation.

Founding Families

Before You Ask

The questions every family has.

Is it worth the investment?

The families who ask that question are the ones most grateful they said yes. These are not photos in a folder. They are fine art prints designed to hang in your home for generations, and you receive the files too.

Do we get the digital files?

Yes. Every collection includes the high-resolution digital files of every portrait in it. As a bonus, every family also receives the complete edited gallery, eighty or more images, as watermarked social-media files for sharing, announcements, and the senior's feed.

Do you have a studio?

I ran a traditional studio for years. In Texas the studio comes to you. Consultations and reveals happen in your home, sessions happen on location, and I size each portrait for the exact wall it will hang on. Ninety-five percent of my families ask for location sessions, so the business is built around it.

My senior does not like being photographed.

After forty years and more than a thousand seniors, Ty has photographed every version of camera-shy. By hour two something shifts. By hour five, families are seeing a version of their senior they did not know existed.

Why a fee just for the session?

The session fee secures up to five hours with a Master Photographer, the pre-session consultation, and the editing of your reveal images. It is not a deposit on prints. It is the fee for the experience itself.

Will we actually get a spot?

Apply and find out. We accept 100 seniors a year across the Class of 2027 and the Class of 2028, and the process is designed so every senior we photograph receives our full attention. Applications are reviewed in the order received.

We just moved here.

The free in-home consultation includes a location strategy session. Ty walks you through every premium location in The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, Tomball, and Cypress and helps your senior choose what feels most like them.

Can siblings share a session?

Each senior gets their own session, because each senior gets their own portraits. The Sibling Bonus rewards Class of 2027 and 2028 families with siblings photographed the same day at no additional session fee.

Sibling Bonus · Class of 2027 and 2028

One senior books. The whole family is photographed.

When a senior books a session, siblings are photographed the same day at no additional session fee, with their own individual portraits and a family portrait if parents join.

The Investment

Clear, and honest from the start.

$300

Session fee, paid at booking

The session fee secures your senior's date and the full designed experience. Heirloom collections begin at $2,200, and most families invest between $2,200 and $4,500 for the wall portraits, albums, prints, and files they choose for their home. Your collection is designed in person at your private reveal, where you can see and hold every piece.

Common Questions

What families ask most.

How much does a luxury senior portrait session cost in The Woodlands and Conroe, Texas?

The session fee is $300, paid at booking, and covers up to five hours with a Master Photographer, the in-home consultation, and reveal editing. Heirloom collections of wall portraits, albums, prints, and files begin at $2,200, and most families invest between $2,200 and $4,500, chosen in person at the reveal.

When should we book senior portraits in the Houston metro?

Juniors in the Class of 2028 should apply by December for a March or April bluebonnet session and by January for any spring date. Class of 2027 seniors should apply now for the remaining fall and winter dates. With only 100 seniors accepted a year, earlier is safer.

Are digital files included with senior portraits from Swartz Portraits?

Yes. Every collection includes the high-resolution files of every portrait in the collection, and every family receives the complete edited gallery of eighty or more images as watermarked social-media files at no additional charge.

What makes this different from yearbook or volume photos?

A volume session is thirty minutes and one backdrop. This is up to five hours, multiple real locations, unlimited outfits, a private in-home reveal, museum-quality heirlooms made in Italy, and your files.
