For families across Katy who have invested seventeen years in their senior's education, activities, and future — and who want senior portraits that reflect that investment. The Energy Corridor executive families. The multi-generational Texans who attended UT or A&M and now watch their own seniors apply. The military officer families stationed nearby. The Katy ISD families across Cinco Ranch, Seven Lakes, and Tompkins who recognize the difference between adequate and extraordinary.
Sessions photograph across Katy's most iconic settings — from the European-inspired plaza at LaCenterra to bluebonnet fields at George Bush Park, vintage railroad cars at Katy Heritage Park, and waterfront architecture at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake. Your senior's Katy. Their story. Told in fine art.

For Sugar Land's multi-generational families — where senior portraits become the album grandparents keep on the coffee table, the wall portrait that travels home for every holiday, and the heirloom that gets passed down the way important things are. For the Texas Medical Center physicians and researchers across Sweetwater and Greatwood. For the Fort Bend ISD families across Clements, Dulles, Elkins, Kempner, Hightower, and Ridge Point who understand the difference between yearbook photos and fine art.
Sessions photograph across Sugar Land's signature settings — from the landmark clock tower at Town Square to the cypress boardwalks of Cullinan Park, the historic red brick of The Imperial Sugar Factory, and the working 1830s cattle ranch at George Ranch Historical Park. A backdrop for every senior. A portrait for every family.

"Most seniors get thirty minutes and a generic backdrop. Yours gets up to five hours and the locations that actually mean something."
Every Swartz Portraits collection is built around products designed to last generations — not files that disappear into folders. The albums, panels, and wall art are crafted by GraphiStudio, the Italian fine art studio whose work has been chosen by some of the world's most respected wedding and portrait photographers for over fifty years. Hand-bound. Archival. Heirloom-grade. Presented in person during every consultation, because these products need to be held to be understood.

The hand-bound Italian album that lives on the coffee table — edge-printed page faces, archival paper, smyth-sewn binding. Passed down the way important things are.

Solid optical-grade acrylic blocks with the portrait embedded inside. Substantial weight, museum finish. For a desk, a shelf, or a senior's first apartment after college.

Large-format wall portraits in three signature finishes — vivid metal, museum acrylic, gallery-wrapped canvas. Sized to anchor the room above the fireplace.

Italian-crafted floating-frame wall portraits where the frame becomes part of the artwork. Depth, dimension, and finish reserved for fine art.

Signature layered acrylic with extraordinary depth and color saturation. The piece serious collectors recognize on sight. Architectural in presence, finished by hand.

Hand-finished Italian presentation box that holds matted heirloom prints — the way wall art and gifts are unveiled at the reveal session. The box stays on the shelf long after.

Archival matted heirloom prints for desks, bookshelves, grandparents' nightstands, and graduation gifts. Small enough to mail. Important enough to frame.

Nine images in a single hand-cut Italian mat — the signature multi-portrait piece that tells the story of an entire five-hour session in one frame. Editorial. Architectural.
Curated image by image, with you in the room.Seven to ten days after your senior's session, your family is invited to a reveal — every album spread, wall portrait, and print is designed during the conversation, with the GraphiStudio products in your hands. Nothing auto-generated. Nothing templated.
Watch a Swartz Portraits session from arrival to final frame. Your senior, the locations, the craft.

This experience could be your senior's, too.
Every family above started with a free consultation. Yours can, too — a conversation about your senior, the locations they'd love, and the heirlooms your family will live with for generations.
Ty Swartz holds the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from Professional Photographers of America, and is a Certified Professional Photographer — credentials held by fewer than 2% of photographers nationally and earned through demonstrated excellence across hundreds of juried images.
Across 40 years and 1,000+ seniors, the work has consistently been about one thing: photographing each senior as themselves — their actual style, their actual interests, their actual senior year — and turning those frames into heirlooms families display for generations.
Now serving families full-time across Katy, Sugar Land, and the Houston metro.
Five to ten Class of 2027 seniors across Katy and Sugar Land are selected each year to receive a complimentary Swartz Portraits session — the full experience, at no cost. In return, ambassadors share their experience authentically with classmates and help introduce Swartz Portraits to their school community.
This is a real session, not a promotional shoot. For seniors who love beautiful photography, take their senior year seriously, and want to be part of something genuinely exclusive.

Yes. We build flexibility into every session schedule for families navigating TDY, deployment, and PCS timelines. Apply early and we'll work around your reality — not the other way around.
Free in-person consultations are scheduled Monday through Friday at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM — two appointments per evening, approximately 60 minutes each. The early evening window allows both parents and senior to be present after work and school. Consultation availability fills several weeks ahead during peak senior portrait season, so applying early helps secure a date that works for your family.
Yes. When a current Swartz Portraits family introduces another family to us and that senior books a session, the referring family receives a 24×24 floating-frame fine art portrait from their own session — designed to be gifted to a grandparent or displayed as a second museum-quality piece in their own home. Details are shared with every family during their consultation.
Swartz Portraits accepts a maximum of 100 seniors per year. The application is how we confirm scheduling, location preferences, and that the experience aligns with what your family is looking for. There is no fee to apply. Most consultations happen in your home so the entire family can see the heirloom products and ask questions before booking.
